What to replace the DIN 766 chain with
Russian replacement for the short-link calibrated DIN 766 chain — chains to GOST 2319-81 and our TU 25.93.17-001-06515248-2020 (strength class 3). Selection by gauge, pitch and load.
What the DIN 766 chain is
DIN 766 is a short-link calibrated welded chain of normal strength. It is used for load-handling equipment, lifting and securing loads, in agricultural machinery and industry. It is designated by the nominal rod diameter in millimetres.
Russian analogue
The closest Russian replacement is a short-link calibrated chain of strength class 3:
- to GOST 2319-81 — welded general-purpose round-link chains;
- to TU 25.93.17-001-06515248-2020 (our TU) — short-link calibrated chains of normal strength, class 3.
We manufacture this product to our own technical specification (TU-001, class 3). The correspondence is checked by the parameters: gauge (diameter), link pitch, width, proof and breaking load, weight.
How to select a replacement
- Take the nominal diameter (d) and pitch (t) from the DIN chain — they determine the size.
- Check the required working load: the selection is based on the breaking load with a safety factor.
- Specify the version: calibrated/non-calibrated, coating (uncoated, grease, zinc), cut length.
If the size is not in the table or a non-standard length is needed, we will make it to order by parameters or drawing.
Important
The correspondence of the imported and Russian standards is clarified by a technologist for the specific task and size: a match in diameter is not enough — pitch, loads and purpose matter. We use the wording “analogue/replacement” and confirm conformity by technical parameters, not by brand.
