Analogue of DIN 762 chain
A close match for the long-link DIN 762 chain (pitch 5d, classes 3 and 5; traction chains for chain conveyors) — long-link class 3 chains to our TU 25.93.17-001-06515248-2020. The conformity is clarified by a technologist.
What the DIN 762 chain is
DIN 762 is a family of long-link calibrated proof-tested round-link chains with a nominal pitch of 5d (gauges roughly from 10 to 23 mm). These are traction chains for chain conveyors and bucket elevators; in the current editions, part 1 is class 3 and part 2 is class 5. The long link (pitch 5d) distinguishes them from short-link lifting and transport chains.
Russian analogue
The Russian basis is long-link welded chains of normal strength:
- to GOST 2319-81 — welded general-purpose round-link chains;
- to our TU 25.93.17-001-06515248-2020 (TU-001, class 3) — long-link versions.
This is a close correspondence by link type and strength class, not full interchangeability: DIN 762 has a 5d pitch and a special conveyor purpose, and class 5 (part 2) is not produced in our range. Verify the gauge, pitch, link width, loads and weight per 1 m.
Correspondence by standards: heavy-duty conveyor versions — the basis is GOST 25996-97 (high-strength calibrated chains for mining equipment, ISO 610-90); standard duties — GOST 2319-81, version 1 (calibrated, for operation with sprockets).
Both plant lines suit a conveyor task: class 3 for standard duties, T8 for heavy-duty. The conveyor (traction) versions in our range are collected in the catalog category Conveyor chains (traction).
How to select
- Measure the gauge (d), pitch (t) and outer link width.
- Use the pitch as a guide: for DIN 762 it is 5d.
- Check the loads and weight per 1 m against our TU table.
- For conveyor tasks, also agree the sprocket engagement and the loading conditions.
Non-standard sizes and lengths — to order, by parameters or drawing.
Important
DIN 762 is a traction chain for continuous transport machinery, not a load-handling device. A match in gauge is not enough: the final conformity is confirmed by a technologist for the specific task and size. We use the wording “analogue/replacement”, without third-party trademarks.
