General-purpose round-link chains
Steel chain is used to lift and move cargoes as part of winches, hoists, and other lifting devices, it can be also used as stretching. You can’t do without it in construction, industries and even everyday life.
Steel chains are made of solid links connected by butt welding providing a durable non-detachable connection. High carbon steel is usually used for manufacturing, which allows chains to sustain weight loads. Zinced links are non-corrosive, that’s why their quality characteristics do not deteriorate even in the case of long-term use out of door.
Types of chains
- long-link chain - has elongated links, flexible and suitable for shortening/extending, for this, it’s enough to run a link through a link (marked DIN 763).
- short-link chain – has a round shape of link and is characterized by increased strength but, as compared to the long-link chain, not so flexible (marked DIN 766).
