High-strength lifting chains T(8)/G80

Strength class 8 · ТУ 25.93.17-002-06515248-2026. High-strength calibrated lifting chains (class 8, T8) for hoists, lifting and load-handling devices.

Informational (outside the TU): the working load of a lifting chain is taken as BL/4 at a safety factor of 4.

Frequently asked questions

Which loads are standardised for T8 chains and how do I read them?

Our class 8 TU standardises three loads: acceptance proof, technological and breaking (BL). The technological one is taken as in the TU table (whole kN), not recalculated from the breaking load. The working load (WLL) is not standardised in the TU — as a guide the industry-wide approach BL/4 at a safety factor of 4 is used; this is a reference value outside the TU.

To which TU are the lifting chains manufactured and which imported standard corresponds to them?

Manufacturing is to our TU 25.93.17-002-06515248-2026 (strength class 8, T(8)). DIN 818-2 / EN 818-2 and GOST EN 818-2-2017 are used as reference standards for comparison. The final conformity for the specific size and task is confirmed by a technologist.

Is the T8 chain suitable for slings, and can it be replaced with a technical chain of the same size?

The class 8 (T8) chain is used for hoists, lifting and load-handling devices. As in GOST 30188-97, our TUs do not provide for its use as slings, so chain slings are not assembled from it. The same link geometry is not enough for a replacement: the size 8×24 exists both in the class 3 line and for T8, but their purpose and level of standardised loads differ, so a lifting chain cannot be replaced with a technical one of the same size. For critical load-handling operations, the application, safety factor and documents are agreed separately with a technologist and the occupational safety service.
