Analogue of DIN 764 chain

A close match for the calibrated DIN 764 chain (class 3, pitch 3.5d, for chain conveyors) — short-link calibrated chains to GOST 2319-81 and our TU 25.93.17-001-06515248-2020. The conformity is clarified by a technologist.

What the DIN 764 chain is

DIN 764 is a family of calibrated proof-tested round-link chains of classes 2 and 3 with a pitch as a rule of 3.5d. They are used mainly as traction chains in continuous transport — chain conveyors. Compared with an ordinary short-link chain, they have an extended pitch and calibration for stable operation in the mechanism.

Russian analogue

The closest correspondence by type and class is short-link calibrated chains of strength class 3:

  • to GOST 2319-81 — welded general-purpose round-link chains;
  • to our TU 25.93.17-001-06515248-2020 (TU-001, class 3) — the calibrated version.

Verify the parameters: gauge (d), pitch (t; for DIN 764 about 3.5d), outer link width, loads and weight per 1 m. The purpose and admissibility of the replacement in a specific mechanism (conveyor, drive, sprocket) are agreed with a technologist.

Correspondence by standards: standard conveyor versions — GOST 2319-81, version 1 (calibrated); for heavy-duty drives the basis is GOST 25996-97 (high-strength calibrated chains for mining equipment, ISO 610-90).

How to select

  1. Measure the gauge (d) and pitch (t) of the imported chain.
  2. Allow for the extended pitch: DIN 764 has a larger pitch than a standard short-link chain — check the engagement with the sprocket.
  3. Compare the acceptance proof and breaking load with our TU table.
  4. Specify the version (coating) and the cut length.

If there is no suitable size, we will make it to order by parameters or drawing.

Important

A direct replacement is not claimed: DIN 764 is a traction chain for conveyor duty, and a match in gauge does not mean a match in pitch, loads and operating conditions. The final conformity is confirmed by a technologist for the specific task and size. We use the wording “analogue/replacement”, without third-party trademarks.
