What the DIN 763 chain is
DIN 763 is a long-link welded chain of normal strength. The link pitch is noticeably larger than the rod diameter, so the chain is flexible and suits fencing, suspensions, securing cargo and decorative load-bearing tasks where a short-link chain is inconvenient.
Russian analogue
The Russian replacement is long-link welded chains of normal strength to GOST 2319-81. We manufacture round-link chains to our own TU (TU-001, class 3); the long-link version is selected by gauge and pitch.
Key parameters to verify: gauge (d), pitch (t), link width, proof and breaking load, weight per 1 m.
How to select
- Determine the diameter (d) and pitch (t) of the imported chain.
- Check the load: working → breaking with a safety factor.
- Choose the cut length and coating.
Non-standard sizes and lengths — to order, by parameters or drawing.
Important
A match in diameter alone does not guarantee a replacement: long-link and short-link chains are not interchangeable in flexibility and load. The final conformity is confirmed by a technologist for the specific task. We use the wording “analogue/replacement”, without third-party trademarks.
