How to select anti-slip chains

Why anti-slip chains are needed
Anti-slip chains are fitted on the drive wheels and increase traction on snow, ice, soil and off-road. They are used on trucks, buses, special machinery and loaders — where the tyres alone do not provide the necessary grip.
Types of chains
- Truck chains — for tractor units, dump trucks and flatbed vehicles; fitted on the drive axle.
- For special machinery and loaders — heavy-duty, for large-diameter wheels and high loads.
Both groups are collected in the catalog: Anti-slip chains.
How to select a set
- Tyre marking — the main parameter. The size is taken from the tyre sidewall
(for example,
315/80 R22.5). In the catalog table you can filter rows by marking. - Machinery type and surface — asphalt, soil, off-road; this determines the pattern and the link reinforcement.
- Link and fastener — the link gauge affects strength and wear; the fastener determines how easy fitting and repair are.
- Repairability — the availability of repair links and spare fasteners.
Fitting and care
- Fit on the drive wheels and re-tighten after the first metres of driving.
- Do not exceed the recommended speed and avoid driving on clean asphalt — it accelerates wear.
- Store in a dry place and periodically inspect the fasteners and links.

Need help with the selection
State the tyre marking and the machinery type — a manager will help you select a set. The selection by load and the designation decoder are also useful.
