Chain sling calculator
Load mass, number of legs and angle from the vertical — leg tension and reference selection of a grade 8 (T8) size.
Important: our specifications for lifting chains do not permit using them as slings. The calculation is for reference only, and T8 sizes are shown by breaking load alone.
For a 4-leg sling the calculation uses 3 legs — standard practice for uniform loading. Standard practice limits the angle from the vertical to 60°.
Specify the load mass — we will show the leg tension and suitable sizes.
The calculation is approximate: BL per our TU-002 × safety factor, without the standard sling coefficients. The final decision is confirmed by a specialist.
